OPENING SPEECH AT ECONOMISTRESS ’11 –V.P
All protocol guests, Proff Mrs. Olusi, Yemi realities, Mr. Adewumi Adebisi, my President,, all other NESA excos, friends and the entire NESAITES, I welcome you all, good afternoon.
Why are we gathered?
It is of great joy to draw the curtain for the economistress ’11 which I tagged Super woman. This project was first introduced by then amiable vice-president, 07/08 session when I was in hundred level. After three year from then, I had the burden to unleash another opportunity to have another project despite so many constraints this session. No one questions processes. It is easier to repeat what worked yesterday than to go through the trauma of doing something new. Waiting to do something different and better become signals to batten down the hatches and justify doing nothing in the long run.
My major aims of organizing this project are;
- To get NESAITES informed, equipped and prepared in all ramification, so we can chat a common course for the benefit of ourselves and by extension our generation.
- To be able to harmonize our inner strength that will be realized here today and channel it towards productive ventures.
- To show creative ideas of common benefits to all NESAITES.
- To provide constructive advice and counseling in area of education, empowerment and social interaction.
- To imbibe in us energies and strength for the future when most of us would have parted ways.
